The innovative Schneider Kaedra range is proof that a distribution box can be an attractive feature in your home, office or industrial space. These modular distribution enclosures are modern and sleek-looking. They all feature a curved front panel with a transparent green door which has a small handle shape moulded for ease of opening. They can be supplied with an optional keylock for added security so you know only keyholders have access to the distribution modules. The main body is coloured grey RAL 7035.

The enclosure material is self-extinguishing polymer and the enclosures are rated IP65 for excellent dust and water ingress protection when the front cover is fully closed. For impact protection, they also perform well, and are rated IK09.

Even better, the polymer is UV resistant class 3, conforming to ISO 4582 2010, and has passed an ultraviolet degradation test conforming to ISO 4892-2 2013, which combined with its weatherproof properties makes this a great choice for environments where sun and rain are a consideration.

The enclosures have fire resistance up to 650 degrees Celsius, conforming to IEC 60695-2-1 and the ambient temperature for operation is -25 to 60 degrees Celsius, making this a rugged choice for a wide variety of situations. Even better, these can all be DIN rail mounted. The smallest modular enclosure option in the range is 13975, the Schneider Kaedra 3 module distribution enclosure. This is suitable for three modules, which is ideal for a static caravan or holiday home with only a couple of circuits, or where you have granular distribution as part of a larger system for example in an industrial setting. This comes in one size – 150mm height x 80mm width x 98mm depth. It sports one pre-cutout rated to PG ISO.

Moving up, 13976 and 13441 are both 4 module distribution enclosures. These measure 200mm height x 123mm width x 112mm depth. The difference between them is 13976 does not come with any terminal blocks while 13441 is supplied with two terminal blocks. Each has 3 pre-cutouts.

Likewise, 13977 and 13422 are 6 module distribution enclosures, both measuring 200mm height x 159mm width x 112mm depth. 13977 comes with no terminal blocks while 13442 is supplied with two blocks: earth and neutral. They have 3 pre-cutouts.

The 8-module distribution enclosure, 13978, comes in one option, which is without terminal blocks, and it measures 200mm height x 198mm width x 112mm depth. It has 5 pre-cutouts.

The 12-module distribution enclosures are available in 13979 which doesn’t have terminal blocks, and 13444 which has two blocks. These enclosures measure up at 200mm height x 267mm width x 112mm depth and feature 7 pre-cutouts.

For 18-module distribution enclosures, 13432 measures 280mm height x 448mm width x 160mm depth and comes with two terminal blocks. Likewise, the 24-module distribution enclosure, 13433, is sized at 460mm height x 340mm width x 160mm depth and two terminal blocks are provided with this enclosure. It has 17 pre-cutouts.

If you’re looking for a really big distribution enclosure, Schneider Kaedra offers two 36 module distribution enclosures, the 13984 and 13435. 13984 has two rows for modules whereas 13435 has three. Similarly, both are supplied with two terminal blocks. These also feature 17 pre-cutouts on the top panel.

That’s not the biggest distribution enclosure in this range, however. That honour goes to 13986, the Schneider Electric Kaedra 54 module distribution enclosure, which measures a massive 610mm height x 448mm width x 160mm depth and comes with two terminal blocks. It has 17 pre-cutouts ready to site cables.

To sum up, the Schneider Kaedra distribution enclosure range is a rugged, well-tested set of distribution enclosures which come in a broad range of sizes depending on how many modules you need to site. With this many options and its modern design, Kaedra is sure to become a staple in distribution enclosures for years to come. If you need a distribution enclosure with different specifications, we also stock Mini Opale or IBOCO Pablo ranges of modular distribution enclosures.
