Job Title: Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist

Location: Princes Risborough

Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: Full Time (Monday to Thurs) 8am - 5pm, (Fri) 8am - 3pm

The Company: We are a leading company specialising in customised electrical enclosures, automation products, and engineering solutions and owned by an EOT (Employee Ownership Trust). We operate across various sectors, including electrical distribution, rail, and sheet metal fabrication. With over 40 years of experience, we provide design, manufacturing, testing, and supply of electrical control gear and associated products. Supported by a vast inventory and strategic partnerships with global brands, we are know for our expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions. The comprehensive engineering department further ensures tailored machining and fabrication to meet customer specifications. 

The Role: This is a full-time, on-site position for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist based in Princes Risborough. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce accurately machined enclosures. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and calibrating machines, performing routine maintenance, monitoring the production process, adhering to quality control standards, and troubleshooting equipment as needed. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with the engineering and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.

Equipment
The majority of the work is carried out on Steinhauer Modbus Vertical CNC Milling Machines, 2 axis and CNC Innovations ISEL Gantry Milling Machine 3 & 4 axis.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Proficiency in Machine Operation, including the ability to set up and operate

  • CNC machinery

  • Expertise in Machining and Milling processes

  • Strong skills in Quality Control to ensure high standards of production

  • Experience working with various types of Machinery in a manufacturing or engineering environment

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Understanding of workplace safety practices and protocols in a manufacturing setting

  • Previous experience in the electrical or industrial control sector is an advantage

  • Relevant certifications and/or vocational qualifications in CNC machining or a related field

  • MS Office - Beginner - Intermediate

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Princes Risborough

Salary: Competitive

Working Hours: Full Time 42.5 Hour Week (Monday to Friday: 8am - 5pm)

Benefits: 22 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, Contributory Pension Scheme

The Company: We are a leading system builder and distributor of electrical enclosures and electrical components and offer the value-added benefit of design, in-house machining, assembly and wiring. We also have our own metal punching, forming and welding facility. Our customers are typically involved in the following industries; Water & Waste-Water. Automotive, Rail, Highways, Food Processing, HVAC, Instrumentation etc. 

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our drawing office. In this role, you will be involved with developing and enhancing new and existing circuit solutions in line with company requirements and customer demands. If you are a motivated Electrical Engineer and have experience in the electrical design of control panels, we'd love to hear from you. 

Please note this role is office based. The successful candidate will need to commute to Princes Risborough or be happy to relocate to the area. 

The Role: Develop and enhance new and current circuit solutions 

• Utilising AutoCAD Electrical to produce various electrical layouts and schematics 
• Create Bill of Materials (BOM's) 
• Prepare specifications and test requirement documentation 
• Test, develop and de-bug designs 
• Review designs development for conformance with applicable standards - 
• Support electrical panel production 
• Attend and contribute to design reviews.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A degree or HNC/HND in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience in electrical engineering calculations for sizing cables and electrical equipment
• Previous experience designing electrical control panel
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy team
• Working knowledge of simple PLC systems and programming software is desirable but not essential.
