If you've previously specified Wieland's fasis WKFN or WTP (56 Series), or selos WK or WT terminals (57 & 58 Series), there's an important update you should know about. Wieland has brought all three product lines together under a single, updated series: the selos New Generation. The result is one cohesive product range with a fully integrated accessory system.

The timing is deliberate. With updated EU RoHS Regulations mandating fully lead-free products expected to take effect in mid-2027, Wieland has taken the opportunity to modernise rather than just comply. Every terminal in the selos New Generation series is fully RoHS-compliant, with no exceptions. 

The new range is split into two clear product lines, selos WTN is the screw connection range, while selos WTPN is push-in. Both utilise the same accessories, meaning fewer part numbers to manage and no compatibility issues when mixing connection types on the same DIN rail.

SELOS WTN - SCREW CONNECTION

The new WTN range builds on a cage clamp connection that's proven itself in millions of installations worldwide. It's compatible with all conductor types, with or without ferrules, and holds reliably under mechanical stress - making it a dependable choice for industrial environments where vibration and movement are a factor. 

The new series spans, 2, 3 or 4 connection feed-through and ground terminals, with 2 and 3 tier multi-level options suited to enclosures with restricted space. Fuse, knife disconnect, current transformer disconnect terminals, along with special function terminals such as sensor, diode, pluggable and mini variants, are all part of the range. The terminals support wires from 0.14mm² all the way up to 240mm² (26 AWG to 500 kcmil), with current ratings up to 380A. The universal screw head accepts both flathead or Philips screwdrivers, and push-in jumpers are supported throughout.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR EXISTING INSTALLATIONS

If you're currently using Wieland's fasis WKFN or WTP (56 Series), or selos WK or WT terminals (57 & 58 Series), the transition is simple. The selos New Generation is designed as a 1:1 replacement for existing screw or spring clamp terminal installations, and the shared accessory system means fewer individual SKUs to manage.

For new projects, specifying from a single series simplifies both purchasing and documentation, particularly where installations combine connection types or require a mix of standard and specialist function blocks.
