Schneider CRN Revolution | Product Spotlight

From this month, the largest enclosures in the Schneider Spacial CRN range will be changing. From now on, all Schneider Spacial CRN enclosures will feature the same aesthetics and design, from the 200H x 200mm W up to 1400H x 1000mm W.  

The old Spacial CRNG (NSYCRNG) will no longer be manufactured, meaning that from now on, the Spacial CRNG will only be available to the end of stock. This is Schneider’s move to unify the Spacial CRN range and ensure more similarity between enclosures of different dimensions within the same range. So, the new larger enclosures will be able to use the same accessories as the smaller ones in the Spacial CRN range.

The enclosures that are changing are those previously referenced CRNG, which feature one of the following: Height of 1200mm or more, width of 1000mm or more, or depth of 400mm.

The smaller enclosures in the Schnieder Spacial CRN range are not changing.

Differences & Benefits between the old Spacial CRNG and new Spacial CRN sizes to note are:

• The locking mechanism will change to the standard twin-cam system. Except the NSYCRN86400, NSYCRN106400 & NSYCRN108400 which will still retain the single handle and rod 3-point locking system.
• The rear fixing centres are moving from 22 to 25mm away from the edges.
• The wall fixing brackets will be the same ones as used with the smaller CRN range.
• Cable entry gland plates will be slightly larger, except for the 600mm wide enclosures.
• The earthing stud position which binds the door to the enclosure body will now be located at the bottom.
• Increased space will be available when using door back rails.

The unification benefits you by making things simpler across the Schneider Spacial CRN range. They will now have the same root reference: NSYCRN. They will have the same fixing points, the same cable entry gland plates, same aesthetics and accessories as the smaller NSYCRN enclosures.

Please note that the old accessories such as wall fixing brackets and the cable entry gland plates will no longer be compatible.
