WWISKA COMBIISKA COMBI junction boxes

WISKA COMBI junction boxes are for electricity circuit repairs and connecting additional sockets or lighting points to circuits. These boxes are designed to be water, impact, UV and flame resistant. They are manufactured in flame-retardant material that is resistant to fats, oils, diesel and acids. 

The domed lid offers more room inside than flat boxes, for when you just need that extra centimetre. Elastic self-sealing membranes for cable entry without mechanical devices, saving on time, effort and tool use. Also, pre-threaded entries meaning no need for locknuts when mounting cable glands. The lid consists of four self-retained quarter-turn plastic screws, meaning no rust or losing the screws. These junction boxes are ingress protection tested to IP66/67, offering excellent dust and moisture protection. They also have an IK rating of IK07.

WISKA COMBI junction boxes are available in a range of shapes and sizes from 76 x 76 x 51mmD up to 160 x 140 x 81mmD and even includes the WISKA COMBI 304, which is a circular shaped junction box with a diameter of 57mm or 82mm.

WISKA COMBI boxes have a temperature range of -30 to +100 degrees Celsius making them an excellent choice for situations of extreme heat and cold.

WISKA ShieldGLAND BW/CW cable glands

WISKA ShieldGLAND

WISKA originally developed the old BW/CW glands for use with the COMBI junction box and many other applications for steel wire armoured cables.. The drawbacks to the BW/CW cable glands are the same drawbacks to most cable glands on the market today. They require the use of a shroud and often require an earth tag (or banjo). Installing the safe earthing can affect the IP rating of the junction box.

The new ShieldGLAND BW/CW cable gland is a combination of plastic exterior and brass interior which is suitable for armoured and SY cables. It can be used with armoured, SY, CY and non-armoured cables, and installation of these is very straightforward. These have been designed to work with the COMBI range of junction boxes. With an ingress rating of IP68, the inner workings of the cable gland is protected against dust, dirt and water. No shroud is needed, due to the plastic exterior. This makes for a faster and easier installation.
The end result is a clean installation that works seamlessly with the COMBI junction box.

WISKA distribution boxWISKA WDB Distribution Boxes

Made of thermal-resistant ABS, the WISKA distribution boxes are available in grey (RAL7035) with or without clear door. They have been glow wire tested to 650 degrees Celsius and they have a temperature range of -35 to +65 degrees Celsius making them a versatile option for temperature extremes.

For ingress protection, WISKA distribution boxes are rated IP65, giving them very good dust and moisture protection. They are fitted with a triangular lock as standard with the distribution box, an optional key lock is also available. WISKA distribution boxes are also supplied complete with the internal mounting plate & wall fixings, meaning you don’t need to spend time and money ordering one separately.

WISKA Insulating Gel

WISKA insulating gel

WISKA insulating gel for junction boxes protects against rain, humidity, dust and ingress of other contaminants that could interfere with the smooth running of your electricity circuit. The silicone gel has no expiry date. It takes approximately five minutes to mix and twelve minutes to cure, making it a fast choice that reduces the time spent waiting around for it to be ready.

The newest product on the market for junction box insulation is the WISKA MP One Twist & Go COMBI gel, available in 300ml, 600ml and 900ml bottles and ready to fill your junction box. The curing time of this product is 8 minutes at 23 degrees Celsius. This silicone gel has no expiry date and is re-enterable. Simply twist the lid to release the activation gel into the rest of the bottle, shake the bottle for fifteen seconds then pour to seal your junction box.

WISKA Ex e Polyamide Cable Glands

WISKA Ex Polyamide Cable Glands

WISKA Ex e Polyamide Cable Glands are devices that attach to the end of an electrical cable and secure it to the equipment. Cable glands provide a strong seal to the cable and keep it held in the equipment. They also can provide other functions such as earthing and insulation. WISKA’s range of nylon (plastic) cable glands are suitable for hazardous areas. They have a temperature range of -40 to +75 degrees Celsius and passed the glow wire test to 750 degrees Celsius. They have Ingress Protection to IP66, IP68 & IP69 making them outstanding for hazardous environments. They are available in black (RAL9005) and blue (RAL5012).

WISKA Cable glandsWISKA BW Brass BS6121 Cable Glands

WISKA BW Brass BS6121 Cable Glands are available and designed in accordance with the British Standard BS 6121. These brass glands include a PVC shroud, earth tag and locknut. They have ingress protection rating of IP20 so are more suited to stable indoor environments. For outdoor use the WISKA CW Brass BS6121 cable glands are the way to go. These have IP54 protection as standard and achieve IP66 with additional thread gaskets, therefore making them perfectly suitable for outdoor applications. They are also supplied with PVC shroud, earth tag and locknut for your convenience.

WISKA Consumer Unit Relocation Kit CUR 818

WISKA consumer unit relocation kit

The WISKA consumer unit relocation kit CUR 818 is used for relocating consumer units in domestic settings. The unit contains DIN rail terminals with easy push fit for installation of cables. It also has multiple knock-out entries to make it easier to extend the old circuits to reach the new location of the consumer unit. It comes in two options: 818CUR/P and 818CUR/L, both of which can relocate up to 10 ways. CUR/P utilises push-in terminals while CUR/L comes with lever terminals.

Rated IP65, this consumer unit relocation kit offers excellent ingress protection against dust and moisture. It has an operating temperature range between -25 and +85 degrees Celsius and has impact resistance of IK08 as well as passing the glow wire test to 650 degrees Celsius. Overall, the CUR 818 is an excellent addition to WISKA’s range of products.

WISKA sprint ESKVWISKA SPRINT ESKV Gland Packs

The WISKA SPRINT ESKV Gland Packs have a high ingress protection rating of IP68 (5 bar 30mins / IP69), meaning fantastic protection from moisture and dust ingress. They are manufactured from polyamide, meaning they are UV resistant and halogen free and available in a choice of 4 colours: black, grey, white & red. They have an operating temperature range between -40 and +100 degrees Celsius and are glow wire tested to 750 degrees Celsius.

Available in thread sizes from M12 up to M63 and with multiple options for cable clamping ranges. Their unique design means no thread gasket is required, as it’s already built in, making installation even easier.
