Distribution blocks
A distribution block is an electrical component that distributes to several devices in a branch circuit from a single power source as input. A distribution block reduces the amount of wires in an electrical panel, meaning less time spent wiring the panel. This saves time and frees up your engineer to do the next task, improving productivity and saving you money.
The nVent ERIFLEX distribution blocks have an ingress protection rating of IP20, meaning they are finger safe and you don’t need to order separate covers for them. The built-in covers are a smooth-looking transparent blue, so you can see inside to check your connections when needed, without having to remove the cover. The cover is also hinged and removable when required.
These use a tinned copper or aluminium block, allowing for copper or aluminium conductor direct connections.
As for certifications, the nVent ERIFLEX range of distribution blocks has a flammability rating of UL 94V-0 and are RoHS compliant.

Low Voltage Insulators
A low voltage insulator acts as a separator between two parts of an electrical project. These low voltage insulators from nVent ERIFLEX are extremely popular for a reason. They offer excellent insulation and are as easy to install as a standoff screw.
The low voltage insulator is placed between the busbar and the back plate to separate the busbar from the enclosure and protect engineers from a dangerous short circuit.
These insulators are made of fibreglass reinforced polyamide, meaning they have much better strength than plastic or rubber insulators, able to withstand higher pressure and more impact. In the centre, the screw thread is made of electrogalvanised steel. They have a working temperature of -40 to 130 degrees Celsius. They are also RoHS compliant and halogen free.
nVent ERIFLEX insulators come in a range of sizes from 15mm high x 12mm diameter up to 100mm high x 46mm diameter in a choice of M6 to M16 threads, depending on the size of insulator you need.

Power terminals
The nVent ERIFLEX range of power terminals includes power blocks, lug to lug terminals, lug to screw terminals and screw to screw terminals.
Power terminal blocks are electrical connectors which attach wires in the same circuit without the need for cutting or splicing. They can be used to branch a single power source to multiple circuits using various connections such as screw, threaded stud, or push-in.
These nVent ERIFLEX power blocks are DIN rail mounted output/input devices designed to connect primary and secondary switchboards, or the main input/output connection for machine or industrial equipment such as air conditioners or inverters. They have a large cross section with a high short circuit rating. These are designed to be reliable and save time in every panel configuration.
They can be connected with round cross-section cable or a flat connection system like nVent ERIFLEX flexibar advanced or IBS/IBSB advanced power braids.
These power blocks have a compact design with an ergonomically designed screw retaining cover which is hinged and removable. The transparent blue cover allows you to see the conductor and confirm the connection. If you want to build multi-pole power blocks, these are modular and snap together. They also easily clip onto DIN rail or they can be panel-mounted with screws. For safety, these are ingress protection rated to IP20, meaning they are finger safe. They feature halogen-free plastic housing except the blue protection cover. Also RoHS compliant. Lug-to-lug, lug-to-screw and screw-to-screw terminals are identical to each other except for the connections. All feature a tinned copper block which allows for copper or aluminium conductor connections.
With the screw-to-screw terminals, these are suitable for connecting wires at both terminals. The lug-to-screw terminals have studs and tunnels at the lug end that can connect nVent ERIFLEX flexibar and other similar conductors, while the screw end is suitable for connecting wires. Flexibar Advanced
If you’re looking to reduce the footprint of your enclosure by up to 40%, the nVent ERIFLEX Flexibar Advanced might be exactly what you are looking for. An insulated stack of thin layers of tinned electrolytic copper surrounded by thermoplastic elastomer, these are low smoke, halogen free and ready to be installed.
Compared to standard PVC insulation, nVent ERIFLEX Flexibar Advanced doesn’t generate toxic gases and has a low smoke opacity, in accordance with ISO 5659-2. In a fire, low smoke opacity makes it easier for people to find the emergency exit, and for emergency workers such as firefighters to find people trapped in a fire. Being halogen free, nVent ERIFLEX Flexibar Advanced is ideal for use in data centres, submarines, switchboards, and anywhere else where there is a confined space and every spare centimetre matters.
nVent ERIFLEX Flexibar Advanced is available in 125A to 2800A, making it ideal for high current installations. The Flexibar Advanced is easily bent, folded and twisted, making for a flexible assembly, shortening connections and reducing the overall footprint of the electrical installation, which in turn reduces the cost of the project.
